§ 5615 Assessment Increase Notice Requirements

• •If your homeowners association (HOA) wants to charge you more money, they have to tell you first.
• •They must send you a personal notice about the extra fee.
• •They can't tell you too early or too late—it has to be between 30 and 60 days before the new fee starts.

Your HOA decides to charge everyone an extra $50 a month for a new park.

They must send you a letter or email about this new $50 fee at least 30 days before it starts, but not more than 60 days early. If they tell you only 20 days before, that’s too late and not allowed.
