§ 9841 Service Dealer Discipline Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •Service dealers can't lie or trick customers with fake ads or promises.
  • •They must follow the rules and do their job carefully, without being careless.
  • •If they break the rules, they can lose their license to work.
  • •They can't help someone who already lost their license to keep working.

Example

A car repair shop promises to fix your brakes for $100 but then charges you $500 for work they didn’t do.

This is lying to trick you, and the shop could lose its license for doing this.
