§ 8666 Pest Control Overcharging Ban

It shall be unlawful for any licensee under this chapter to recommend or to perform any pest control corrective work under any contract or agreement that the licensee knows or has reason to know is in excess of that required to eliminate the condition for which the licensee was employed. A violation of this section is a public offense and is punishable upon the first conviction by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than six months, or by a fine not to exceed ten thousand dollars ($10,000), or by both that imprisonment and fine. (Added by Stats. 1996, Ch. 829, Sec. 106. Effective January 1, 1997.)
