§ 704 License Restoration Requirements

Key Takeaways

  • •If your doctor's license is inactive, you can make it active again by paying a fee.
  • •If you're a doctor who wants to volunteer for free to help poor people, you don't have to pay the fee.
  • •You might need to take some classes to learn new things before your license becomes active again.

Example

A doctor hasn't worked in a few years and wants to start again.

The doctor needs to pay a fee and maybe take some classes to make their license active so they can work again. If they want to volunteer for free to help people who can't afford a doctor, they don't have to pay the fee.

(b) If the board requires completion of continuing education for renewers of an active license or certificate, complete continuing education equivalent to that required for a single license renewal period.
