§ 6741 Nonresident Engineer Registration Exemption

• •You must already be allowed to work as an engineer in another state.
• •You can’t have an office or regular workplace in California.
• •You can offer engineering work in California, but you can’t actually do the work there.

The Texas engineer can talk about the project and give advice, but they can’t actually do the engineering work in California unless they register there. Since they don’t live in California and don’t have an office there, they don’t need to register just to offer help.
