§ 6717 Engineering Branch Scope Definition

Key Takeaways

  • •The board can make rules about what each type of engineering (except civil, electrical, and mechanical) can do.
  • •These rules help decide what kind of work each engineer is allowed to do.
  • •The rules are made to keep things clear and safe for everyone.

Example

An engineer who works with chemicals wants to know what kind of projects they can work on.

The board makes rules that say what a chemical engineer can and cannot do, so the engineer knows if they can work on a project involving new medicines or cleaning products.
