§ 6520 Fiduciary Ethics Code Adoption

Key Takeaways

  • •There is a special set of rules called the 'Professional Fiduciaries Code of Ethics' that people in certain jobs must follow.
  • •These rules are written down and can be found on the bureau's website or when you ask for a job license.
  • •The rules can change over time, but any changes won't affect workers until their next yearly license renewal.
  • •Workers will get the updated rules when it's time to renew their license.

Example

Imagine you hire someone to take care of your money because you're too busy. This person is called a fiduciary.

This fiduciary must follow special rules to make sure they treat your money fairly and honestly. If the rules change, they won't have to follow the new rules until it's time to renew their work license next year.
