§ 5553 License Denial Grounds

Key Takeaways

  • •If you do something bad before getting a license, they can say no to giving you one.
  • •The bad things are the same ones that could get your license taken away if you already had it.
  • •There’s a special process they follow to decide if you get the license or not.

Example

You apply for a driver’s license but lied about your driving history.

If the DMV finds out you lied, they can refuse to give you the license because lying is something that could get your license taken away later.
