§ 5101 Partnership Permit Revocation Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •If a partnership doesn't meet the rules it agreed to when it registered, it can lose its license to work.
  • •The board can punish a partnership if one of its partners gets in trouble or loses their license in any state.
  • •Punishments can include losing the license, getting it suspended, or just a warning.

Example

A small accounting firm has two partners. One partner gets caught doing shady stuff in another state and loses their accounting license there.

Because one partner lost their license, the board can punish the whole firm. They might take away the firm's license, suspend it for a while, or just give them a warning.
