§ 4869 Veterinary Wellness Committee Privacy

Key Takeaways

  • •A special group (wellness evaluation committee) can have private meetings to talk about vets or vet techs in a wellness program.
  • •They can only have private meetings if it's needed to keep the vet or vet tech's personal stuff secret.
  • •This is different from the usual rule that says most government meetings must be open to the public.

Example

A vet is having a hard time with stress and joins a wellness program to get help.

The group talking about the vet's progress can have a private meeting to keep the vet's personal struggles a secret. They can't do this for any other reason.
