§ 3742 Student Respiratory Care Supervision

• •If you're a student learning to be a respiratory care practitioner, you must always have a licensed professional watching you closely.
• •The licensed professional must be right there with you, ready to help if needed.
• •This rule is to make sure patients stay safe while students are learning.

A licensed respiratory care practitioner must be in the same room, watching the student the whole time. If the student doesn’t know what to do, the licensed person can step in right away to help.
