§ 307 Expert Consultant Contracts

Key Takeaways

  • •The boss can hire experts to help with the job if needed.
  • •These experts can get paid and have their costs covered, like travel or supplies.
  • •The payment follows the state's rules for how much and how to pay.

Example

Imagine the government needs to fix a big problem, like figuring out how to clean up a polluted river.

The boss in charge can hire a scientist who knows about rivers. The scientist gets paid for their work, and if they need to travel or buy tools, the government will pay for that too, as long as it follows the state's rules.
