§ 19867 License Application Fees

Key Takeaways

  • •You have to pay money when you apply for a license to cover the cost of checking if you qualify.
  • •The boss in charge decides how much you need to pay based on a list of costs.
  • •If they need more money while checking your application, they can ask you to pay extra.
  • •If you pay too much, they will give back the extra money and show you a list of what they spent.

Example

You want to open a small food truck and need a license.

When you apply for the license, you have to pay some money upfront to cover the cost of the background check and processing. If the check costs more than you paid, they might ask for more money. If you paid too much, they’ll give you back the extra and show you a receipt of what they spent.
