§ 19463 License Suspension Appeals

Key Takeaways

  • •If the board takes away your license, their decision is final unless you challenge it in court.
  • •You have only 30 days to go to court if you want to fight the board's decision.
  • •The board's decision stays in place unless a court says otherwise.

Example

You have a driver's license, but the DMV takes it away because they say you broke a rule.

If you think the DMV was wrong, you have 30 days to go to court and ask a judge to give your license back. If you don’t go to court in time, you can’t fight it later.
