§ 19016 Slip Cover Definition

Key Takeaways

  • •A 'slip cover' is a cover for furniture or beds that has no filling inside.
  • •It goes on top of already made furniture or bedding.
  • •It is not attached permanently—no sewing, tacking, or anything like that.

Example

You buy a new couch and want to protect it from spills or pet hair.

If you put a removable cover over the couch that isn’t sewn or glued on, that’s a slip cover. It’s just a layer you can take off and wash.
