§ 1606 Board Officer Election Rules

• •The board must pick three leaders: a president, a vice president, and a secretary.
• •These leaders must be chosen from the people already on the board.
• •This rule is more important than another rule (section 107) about picking leaders.

A school board needs to choose its leaders for the year.

The board members must pick a president, vice president, and secretary from among themselves. They can't follow a different rule (like section 107) if it says something else about how to pick these leaders.
