§ 11012 Subdivision Offering Changes Notice

• •If you own or sell a big project (like a housing development), you can't make big changes to it after telling the government about it.
• •You must tell the government in writing before making any big changes.
• •This rule only applies if you know about the changes or should have known about them.

A builder plans to sell 50 new houses and tells the government all the details. Later, they decide to add a big park in the middle of the houses.

The builder must first write to the government and tell them about adding the park. If they just build it without telling, they’re breaking the law.
